To seek approval to make loan finance available to East Kent Housing for the procurement of a new housing management IT system.

1.  THAT Cabinet agrees a loan of £223,000 for East Kent Housing for the purposes of purchasing a single IT system.

2.  THAT Cabinet delegates authority to determine the terms of the loan to the Section 151 Officer, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Finance.

To allow East Kent Housing  to procure a new IT system to assist in the delivery of savings and efficiencies.

Not providing a loan would have resulted in East Kent Housing not being able to finance the new system and provide the expected savings and efficiencies.
