Decision:
To offer 30% discount on the published tariff to competing visiting yachts. The discount will only apply to yachts attending the whole event. In previous years this has proven successful in increasing not only Ramsgate’s’ profile but additional revenue for both TDC and surrounding businesses alike.
In addition, to encourage early entry a number of the event sponsors offer prizes. The Port of Ramsgate wishes to offer one free visitor night as a prize, for which we seek approval.
Reasons for the decision:
To support the event by offering a 30% discount and a one free visitor night prize to entrants of this major local event. The event is a local tourism and public relations attraction, boosting the local economy for Thanet and the Royal Harbour.
