PDF 97 KB Minutes: Also present: Officers Mr Bensted - Regulatory Services Manager PC Dennett – Kent Police Colin Evans - Assistant Litigation Solicitor The Regulatory Services Manager outlined the report to the Licensing Sub-Committee in respect of the application for Temporary Event Notice at Mcdonald's, 95-97 High Street, Margate. PC Dennett addressed the Sub-Committee. Members asked questions of PC Dennett. The Licensing Sub-Committee AGREED: “There are safety implications which have not been addressed by the applicant. The Sub-Committee have heard from Police representative who is concerned about the number of people in the town and the Police do not have enough information to support the event and the applicant has not been in contact with Police to address the concerns raised. In these circumstances, the Sub-Committee has opted for option 3.2 to refuse the application as it undermines the Licensing Objectives: 1. The prevention of crime and disorder, 2. Public safety, 3. The prevention of public nuisance, and 4. The protection of children from harm.”
