To adopt the new Active Thanet strategic framework 2018-2022 to set a new direction for the local authority that will increase and develop opportunities for residents to lead a more active and healthier lifestyle.

Cabinet adopted the proposed Active Thanet strategic framework 2018-2022 to replace the Sport and Active recreation 2015-2019 strategy.

Cabinet are in agreement that the current Sport and Active recreation strategy 2015-2019 has a heavy focus on sport for sport agendas; the new Active Thanet framework will focus on the wider health inequalities and priorities to address this with partners.
