The decision taken approved the letting of two new contracts for works to its housing stock.

1.  The letting of the contract for the refurbishment of seven passenger lifts, as detailed in the Cabinet report;

2.  The letting of a term contract for the completion of a programme of external cyclical decorations, as detailed in the Cabinet report.

The works identified are essential repairs and maintenance to the council’s housing stock, relating to its duties and responsibilities as a landlord.

The works are considered to be essential and there are no realistic alternatives.
