Purpose:
The establishment of a Cabinet Advisory Group for Fees and Charges.
Decision:
Establish a Fees and Charges Cabinet Advisory Group, in accordance with the Terms of Reference attached at annex 1 to the supporting report.
Reasons for the decision:
The CAG will advise Cabinet on an approach for setting future fees and charges proposals (starting with the car parking charges for 2022/23), within the context of the requirement to achieve a minimum annual increase of £200,000 from fees and charges, in order to support the delivery of a balanced budget.
Alternative options considered:
Not establishing a CAG was considered and rejected. A CAG will assist in ensuring member engagement for the fees and charges setting process and assist cabinet with the balancing to the 2022-23 budget.
