To approve an additional charge to the published Fees and Charges at the Port of Ramsgate of £1,200 (inc. VAT) per Jet Ski Beth per annum, pro rata’d from the date of arrival with a minimum stay of six months.
Reasons for the decision:
To generate revenue from the newly installed nine berths.
Alternative options considered:
No alternatives to consider. The charge has been derived at half the charge for a 6m vessel occupying a berth, as two Jet Skis can occupy the same space as one 6m yacht. The Jet Ski berths have been placed in an area unsuitable to accommodate other types of vessels.
