    Purpose:

    This report discusses arrangements for temporary staff i.e. agency workers across a number of services.

     

    The current contract for Temporary Staff is coming to an end in April and proposes options for the future procurement of temporary staff arrangements.

    Decision:

    Cabinet approved Option 3 as described in section 3 of the report which was to competitively procure a temporary staff contract via a framework with an approximate value of £1.3m per annum.

    Reasons for the decision:

    Without the availability of temporary staff, key functions would be left short of staff.

    Alternative options considered:

    Short fixed term contracts are hard to recruit to and do not offer flexibility required.
