Minutes of Previous Meeting PDF 110 KB To approve the Minutes of the Licensing Board meeting held on 6 January 2022, copy attached. Minutes: Councillor Scobie proposed, Councillor Saunders seconded and members agreed that the minutes be approved as a correct record of the meeting held on 6 January 2022.

Hackney Carriage Vehicles Tariffs in Thanet PDF 78 KB Additional documents: Minutes: Ms Brock, Technical Support Team Manager, introduced the item, noting that a request had been received from a driver to increase the tariffs that had not been increased since 2015.
Following the debate:
1. It was proposed by Councillor Wing, seconded by Councillor Huxley and agreed that the tariff be increased by 15% (rounded up to the nearest round figure), and that the tariff would be reviewed each year. 2. It was proposed by Councillor Shrubb, seconded by Councillor Wing and agreed that the contamination fee would be increased to £100. 3. It was proposed by the Chair, seconded by Councillor Shrubb and agreed that the extra charges for additional passengers, shopping bags, prams/pushchairs etc. would be increased to 25p.

That the public and press be excluded from the meeting for agenda items six and seven as they contained exempt information as defined in Paragraph 7 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Licence to Drive Private Hire Vehicles Minutes: Ms Phillips, Principal Litigation Solicitor made the introductory remarks by advising of the meeting procedure for the discussion of this item.
Ms Malyn, Licensing Officer, presented the report.
The Licence Holder addressed the Board.
The Licensing Officer asked questions of the Licence Holder.
Members asked questions of the Licence Holder.
Following the debate, Members of the Board agreed the following:
1. The Licensing Officer - Ms Malyn 2. The applicant - Mr Sharratt
It was the decision of the Licensing Board to grant the application for a Licence to Drive Private Hire Vehicles for one year from Mr Sharratt.’
