The Head of Safer Neighbourhoods outlined the report to the Licensing Sub-Committee in respect of the application for premises licence for Rendezvous Restaurant, Ethelbert Crescent, Margate.

 

The Applicant’s representative and Applicant addressed the Sub-Committee.

 

Members asked questions of the Applicant’s representative.

 

Further to debate, the Sub-Committee AGREED:

 

“Having heard from the applicant and considered the correspondence from objectors, and having considered the 4 Licensing objectives, we consider that the restaurant will not impact on the flats and we do not consider that there are issues of anti-social behaviour as regards the restaurant.

 

We note the condition given that alcohol will not be removed from the premises other than in a sealed container save for in the enclosed tables and chairs space.

 

The application is granted as requested.”
