Minutes:

Members requested that the Cabinet portfolio holders responsible for council finance and the management of Ramsgate Port be invited to make a presentation on the financial and operational performance of the port the 30 August 2018 meeting of the Panel. They suggested that once the invitation was accepted by the portfolio holders, Panel Members would then need to submit questions to Democratic Services regarding the operations of the port in order for the presenters to prepare detailed responses ahead of the meeting.

Another Member requested for information regarding the number of families being supported with temporary accommodation in 2016/17 and 2017/18. They further requested for information on the budget allocated for temporary accommodation and what limitations the service was experiencing. The Chairman advised that these questions would best be directed to the Deputy Chief Executive who could present responses when considered by the Panel.

Members were reminded that they could still propose scrutiny topics to the work programme during the course of the year.
