It was noted that in accordance with council procedure rule 17.6, a recorded vote would be taken on the motion or any amendments and substantive motions.

It was proposed by Councillor Townend and seconded by the Leader, that the recommendation set out in the report be agreed, namely:

“That Council approves this report and annexes”

Specifically;

·  Annex 1: The Capital Prudential and Treasury Indicators 2017/18 – 2019/20 and MRP Statement

·  Annex 2: Treasury Management Practice (TMP1) – Credit and Counterparty Risk Management

·  Annex 3: Guidance on Treasury Management Strategy Statement, Minimum Revenue Provision Policy Statement and Annual Investment Strategy (TMSS)

Cabinet considered the report on the treasury management strategy for 2017/18 which was produced in accordance with the CIPFA Code of Practice on Treasury Management. It covers the Council’s capital plans, treasury management strategy, treasury indicators, prudential indicators and limits for 2017-18 to 2019-20 inclusive; and the minimum revenue provision policy and investment strategy for 2017-18.

Councillor Townend proposed, Councillor L. Fairbrass seconded and Members approved the report and annexes and recommended that it is approved by Council.
