Councillor Yates introduced the report noting that, as outlined in the Strategic Asset Management Plan 2017 – 2021, the corporate portfolio was under review to ensure that the Council only retained assets that supported the corporate priorities and delivered value for money.
The following Members spoke under Council Procedure 20.1: Councillor Bailey and Campbell.
Councillor Yates proposed, Councillor Whitehead seconded and Cabinet agreed the following:
1. To progress the property and land, as listed in Annex 1, circulated in the supplementary agenda, through the disposal framework to achieve either capital receipt or income generation, with the exception of;
a. Land between Montefiore Lodge and the Old Stable Block King George VI Park, Ramsgate;
b. The Walpole Bay former lift.
2. That the first priority was given to exploring leisure use options for the Marina Road Car Park site, that would lead to income generation opportunities.
3. To progress the property and land through the community asset transfer framework as listed in Annex 2.
