Agenda and draft minutes

Apologies were received from Mrs Bacon, Councillor Johnston and Councillor Townend for whom Councillor Crow-Brown was present.

There were no declarations of interest.

To approve the Minutes of the meeting of Standards Committee held on 11^th September 2018, copy attached.

Councillor Tomlinson proposed, Councillor J. Fairbrass seconded and Members agreed the minutes were a correct record of the meeting held on 11 September 2018.

Tim Howes, Director of Corporate Governance and Monitoring Officer outlined the report.

It was proposed by Councillor J Fairbrass, seconded by Councillor Crow-Brown and agreed:

“To recommend to Full Council the proposed amendments to article 8 of the Council’s constitution to make training mandatory for all Councillors on General Purposes, Planning and Licensing Committees and those Councillors who are substitutes on Planning Committee.”

The recommendations would be considered at Full Council on 28 March 2019.

The Committee noted the Standards complaint statistics.
