    The Working Party AGREED that the minutes of the Constitutional Review Working Party held on 7 January 2016 be approved and signed by the Chairman.

    Tim Howes, Director of Corporate Governance and Monitoring Officer outlined the modifications to the prescribed standing orders relating to the dismissal of statutory officers and the proposal for these to be included in the Council’s constitution.

     

    The Working Party was advised that the changes made are to reflect the legislative changes made by the government.

     

    The Working Party agreed not to appoint a standing panel in pursuance of the standing orders but to only appoint one if and when the need arises.

     

    The Working Party agreed changes proposed by Tim Howes to standing orders and recommended them to the Standards Committee.
