A Petition was presented to Council on 6th February in relation to making Improvements to the Play Area at the Broadstairs Memorial Recreation Ground.
The report considered the options and agreed with many of the points raised by the petition group in relation to the poor quality of the playground. The playground was a priority for improvement however did not pose a health and safety risk and so was further down list than those that did.
It was proposed that the playground be added to current playground tender and up to £40k spent on improving the site with a view to further investment subject to receipt of section 106 funding in the future.
