To consider the recommendations of the Overview & Scrutiny Panel to terminate the Development Agreement in respect of the Pleasurama Development site in Ramsgate due to the continuing failure of the Developer to  progress the Development.

Explanation of anticipated restriction:
The Council has received legal advice regarding the Council’s position with regard to the existing development agreement between the Council and SFP Ventures (UK) Ltd. The Advice is privileged and there is a substantial public interest in public bodies such as the Council obtaining legal advice in confidence.

Disclosure of the advice would adversely affect the Council’s bargaining position in any future negotiations with the developer or undermine the ability of the Council to enforce the terms of the agreement.

The exemption status of the information will be reviewed one year after the decision date. At that time, the Corporate & Regulatory Services Manager may decide to release the information into the public domain.
