A report was presented to Cabinet proposing that expenditure be approved for the delivery of the Broadstairs Flood and Coast Protection Scheme. The scheme will improve flood and erosion protection for the benefit of residential properties, and the beach and jetty at Viking Bay. This scheme is included in the 2023/24 capital programme and is 100% funded via an Environment Agency grant in the value of £880k.
