Broadstairs Flood and Coast Protection scheme

A report was presented to Cabinet proposing that expenditure be approved for the delivery of the Viking to Dumpton Gap Sea Wall Repair Scheme. The scheme involves the repair and replacement of sea wall components over an 1,100 metre length of coastline. This scheme is included in the 2023/24 capital programme and is 100% funded via an Environment Agency grant in the value of £406k.
